An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join our fast-growing team. This position is for 38.5 hours per week on nights, with weekend work included.

Sandy Banks Care Home is designed to provide a stimulating, specialist environment for residents who suffer from varying levels of dementia or require general nursing care. We are looking to recruit staff who have a keen interest in Dementia and working with the elderly. You will be able to problem solve and remain calm under pressure. You are a caring and honest individual who has a passion about helping individuals remain active whilst maintaining their dignity and independence.

As a Senior Care Assistant you will be required to supervise a unit and administer medication to residential clients.

To be successful in this role you will be NVQ Level 3 trained in Health and Social Care or equivalent and be willing to complete further training. You are a standout colleague who is passionate about providing person centered and holistic care. We are looking for a highly motivated individual that will enjoy working in a challenging environment and have the enthusiasm to make a difference to people’s lives every day. As a Key Worker, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse you will take responsibility for the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of our residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant you will establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, residents, visitors and other individuals visiting or working in the home. You will be required to represent the company as an honest, knowledgeable and meticulous ambassador.
